Ms. Dimitra Tosiliani
Dimitra Tosiliani is a junior researcher and PhD candidate whose work centers on agricultural economics, systems modeling, and sustainable agriculture, especially under the prism of climate change. She holds an Integrated Master’s Degree from the University of Thessaly’s Department of Agriculture Crop Production and Rural Environment, where she graduated at the top of her class with a score of 8.59/10. Her thesis, which received a score of 10/10, was titled “The Effect of Biostimulants on the Cultivation of Lavender During the Second Growing Year in Velestino” and highlighted her dedication to advancing sustainable and innovative agricultural practices. Dimitra is currently a researcher at the Agricultural Economics and Consumer Behaviour Lab at the same department, where she contributes her expertise to the DIONYSUS project. Her role in this project involves applying agricultural economics and modeling skills to develop resilient and adaptive systems for Mediterranean agriculture. As a PhD candidate, Dimitra’s research further delves into Agricultural Systems Modeling with a focus on climate change and sustainability, providing valuable insights and scalable solutions to contemporary agricultural challenges in the Mediterranean region and beyond. Through her research and professional efforts, Dimitra is committed to driving sustainable agricultural practices that enhance the resilience and adaptability of agricultural systems in response to global environmental changes.
