NSRF Project ioPatato

The project brought precision agriculture principles to the field, with in-field IoT telemetry, and examined how they reshape the whole value chain of the PGI potato of Kato Nevrokopi. The Lab evaluated farmers’ decision-making around adopting and implementing precision agriculture technologies: it built a policy framework that incorporates existing farm management practices and analysed farmers’ willingness to adopt new practices under agronomic, environmental and policy constraints, on the case of three farms inside a potato cooperative of Northern Greece.
